Good afternoon #SDF! So I got SIP working last night, and today I'll make some calls! I think next month I should have enough dough to do a yearly sub for MetaARPA. Also might install the Freedombox( https://freedombox.org/ ) onto a Raspberry Pi 3, but I need to buy an ethernet cable first, or look to see if I have any spare ones...

5. Utilize all of SDF's features:

I have much more to do than just the above, but I feel in SDF's case that's what is most important for me right now. SDF has really made a difference in my life, so I hope to spread the word about it to others!

Good evening #sdf and the wider #fediverse! Today I played more #dnd and we confronted some eelfolk and their leader! The guy who I explained way back when is back though, and he disagreed with a player so much that he wanted his character to kill the other player's character, lol. Other than that, the session went well! #OpenBSD is going well too, still can't believe how it makes everything just work compared to even #Ubuntu! Any advice for OpenBSD novices from the SDF/BSD community?

Good evening #sdf and the wider #fediverse! Today I focused on getting some games, yes #games to work on #openbsd! Mainly just #emulation stuff, like #snes9x and #fceux! For some reason #retroarch won't load at all. Too bad #openbsd doesn't have a ports web interface like #freebsd does. #ports.su is ok, but could be a lot better #imho. So yeah, next on my todo #list is #PF and stuff!

At first I had some problems with my #video card, but after downloading some #firmware and updating it, it all works like a #charm! The only thing I miss is #utf8 major support that #debian had. I wish openbsd would take a page out of #plan9 's playbook in that regard!

Now on my #todo list is get my #PF firewall running how I want it to and get sshd #protection in place!

Good afternoon #sdf and the wider #fediverse! I'm getting back into the swing of things finally! Altho it seems Mastodon doesn't like #Firefox ESR, so I might have to download and use Firefox 57! I've switched from #ubuntu to #debian, but debian doesn't seem to like my #printer. Well, it doesn't really matter as I can always print using my #phone. #OpenBSD is next on my #todo list. I've also got to start #phlogging every day again! Can't forget about #gopher. Anyways, it's good to see everyone!

Good evening #sdf and the wider #fediverse! Today I wanna ask about micro-sd cards, usb keys and the like. What do you think about them? Do you have a lot laying around? Do you feel there should be a better method of storage? Do you use multiple harddrives in a RAID array or an external HD(s)?

Good afternoon #sdf and the wider #fediverse! So, for email I’ve got ProtonMail, I’ve started using Matrix and jabber. Of course I still use gopher for blogging! I still need to convert my system to openbsd, but the printer issue still remains! Ubuntu automatically configured it but Ubuntu also is very annoying because the graphical effects slow down my pc a lot(my pc is old lol). Anyways, I’m still working out a solution!
