    Find out if you have a local #LUG, a !Linux Users Group. In #Waterloo Region we have a great LUG, @KWLUG@sn.jonkman.ca, as well as completely separate groups for #KWNPSA ( #NonProfit #SysAdmin), #KWVoIP (a #VoIP Users Group), different user groups for just about every programming language (and three for #Javascript alone). All are warm and friendly -- I know, 'cos I've been to most. But start by finding a local Linux User Group, where people can point you in as many directions as you're willing to go.

    Ever-growing list of websites that don’t work at all or show a plain white page without #JavaScript is a testament to the cesspool that is modern web development

    I browse without JS on mobile to save my meager bandwidth (8mb for JS libs from 10 different sources), to save battery life, and to avoid the deluge of on-page malarkey that make most sites unusable

    Do it the other way round: Display the 2FA box, but hide it if #Javascript detects no 2FA enabled. That way people who don't browse with Javascript can still access the box.

    I suppose it isn't really #Javascript I object to, it's !surveillance applications in web browsers, and Web devs using Javascript when #POSH would suffice

En cuanto a #tor y #javascript ya es cuestión de cada #nodo Pero eso ya no es tema de #gnusocial sino del nodo propiamente, de manera que es cuestión de saber escoger, si no, contamos con una opción todavía mejor: montar nuestro nodo y que la #privacidad corra por cuenta propia /cc !fediverse
