     @mmn Hmm and if I try to install Debian Jessie I get the same error on a completely different machine even if the same drive's not plugged in... (and sort of this error - unannounced shutdowns - started showing up when I updated it…

     @mmn Alright, so I'm fucking stupid. It _was_ the watchdog resetting the machine because I didn't tell the watchdog that everything was alright. Argh.
     
     Anyway, the machine's changed now anyhow. The last one looked like this: https://quit.im/notice/56958
