    @navigium @jackmcbastard Hubzilla can do things like that, since it has a more elaborate privacy model than just follow or block. I see !gnusocial as being a simpler system.

      Maybe someone can explain this to me. How hard would it be to make !gnusocial into separate networks where certain instances could federate among other invited instances? Something similar to the way IRC works. Is this undesirable for some reason…

      @bob yes, I like the simplicity of !gnusocial. From a technical standpoint I prefer #hubzilla, but the simplicity of GNU Social caters for a broader user base and makes the community more fun.
