     Watch out, the driver might end up in a river. The iOS software alternatives is notorious for its bad maps. Better get the driver to use something like #OsmAnd instead, it will save lives.

     @mmn I think it was the uber "app" that was doing the navigating. I've heard similar stories, though.

     @mmn even open street map has some trouble in smaller regions. I wish it was better cared for. I really love the project.

     @cmhobbs I've always found Free software to be the foundations of technology, where proprietary ends up being the shiny outer coating.

     @cmhobbs I think Free software could accomplish all of these things, but lack the financial motivations inherent in proprietary software. :(

     @windigo true to some extent. I think that if proprietary things last long enough, they'll eventually have libre counterparts.
