    I'm considering picking up a beaglebone black given that it appears to be #libre if I just don't use the GPU. Once my contracts spin down, I might have the time to tinker with it. I'll do some research and build some stuff on my home server first, though.

      @ericxdu23 I have a pretty useful little shuttle rig that I rescued from the dumpster. I don't do anything with it, so I'm mostly dreaming. I'd probably reuse my netbook as a server if I get another main machine. Beaglebone looks awesome but I feel bad about not recycling.

      @ericxdu23 I'm not sure what I want to do with a home server. Backups are my first thought. Maybe a private media goblin instance for when I mesh my network with my parents. I'm not set up for a music server, unfortunately. Maybe I'll buy speakers in the future.
