@luke I wish I could find an old Palm PDA again. I thought they were less hassle to use than contemporary mobile platforms.
-
@lnxw37 confession: I still use my Palm T5 as a note taking device
-
@lnxw37 we have (or used to) an old Zire 21 lying around here somewhere. I even replaced the battery once, had to solder it into place haha!
-
I'm still using a Palm m515, 1 generation earlier. It's safer against !surveillance than Androids, as it's offline. Cheap from ebay. @lnxw37

@lnxw37 @balleyne another reason for still using the Palm is I still like jPilot on my GNU/Linux box. I'm looking for equivalent for Android
-
@mcscx: I haven't gone Android yet, still using #N900... but Palm + keyboard still best note taking device, better than typing with thumbs
-
@mcscx: I like that the Palm is offline for distraction reasons too. Easier to stay focused in class. *shrugs*
-
@balleyne the original Palm keyboard is really awesome, if only the right Cursor-Up key weren't at the place I intuitively expect Shift
-
@balleyne indeed, Android devices offer many distracting features, like mobile StatusNet clients ;-)
-
@balleyne btw I was using a Palm Grafitti I input method on my Android for some time. Not quite optimal for finger usage (vs stylus) though
