I recommend not giving her any attention. Ignore her. Advise your friends in #FLOSS and #FreeCulture communities to ignore her. Do not use or remix her art. Avoid her works.

We ought to want our freely licensed works to be welcoming to all. Using Nina Paley's art even inadvertently runs the risk of sending a message we ought to be avoiding. #lgbtq

Heads up #SocialCoop -
#Liberapay (the #FLOSS and #nonprofit recurrent donations platform) is in trouble, loosing its payment provider and in need of new ways to operate.

They are considering a #cooperative alternative, where everyone who receives money on the platform would be a member of the Liberapay legal entity, and that all the collected funds would legally belong to that entity instead of to each individual user.

I'm sure they'd appreciate any help or advice.

@xor I agree with all of this, but just to stir up hornets' nest a bit:

1. how about: "if you're not paying for it, there's a good chance you're the product"

2. we really have to start making #FLOSS users understand they *need* to support the software they're using financially even if there is no upfront price tag.
