Good afternoon #fediverse, #sdf! Just got a #mechanical keyboard. It definitely feels different from what I'm used to. I like the feeling of it so far though, and the sound of it too. I'm not a touch typist, I learned typing with Mavis Beacon and keyboarding class a long time ago. Anyways, I hope y'all are having a good day! It's rainy and stormy here, so I just feel kinda sleepy...

On another note, what open-source/free software projects do you feel need more attention?

Good afternoon #SDF, #fediverse! I'm continuing to make a list of services, applications and tech that respect your privacy, is free software orientated, is decentralized and many other factors. I consider the list to be in it's starting phase, and eventually I would make to make it it's own wiki, I suppose. I want it to be able to help new, medium grade and advanced users. A sort of encyclopedia, tutorial book and all the rest rolled into one, but about the above!

Good evening #SDF, #fediverse! Today I am looking for #BBS that have lots of users to recommend to people, preferably ones with a friendly atmosphere and welcoming attitude! Do they still exist? Also, anyone know any good free #USENET providers and #newsgroups that are still active that are also friendly and aren't filled to the brim with spam? I'm not looking for piracy in the case of newsgroups, btw, so don't send anything related to that. Just social interaction/creativity. Same for #gopher!

Good afternoon #SDF and the wider #fediverse! I'm looking forward to Mega Man Legacy Collection and Street Fighter Collection coming out this month!

But before that, I may be getting Tokyo Xanadu eX+ and Tales of Berseria. I've never played any Tales of... game before, so I'm looking forward to it! As far as Tokyo Xanadu, I love all of Falcom's games, especially Ys and Trails of Cold Steel/Trails in the Sky!

What are you folk's favorite JRPGs?

Heyo #fediverse and #SDF! Today in our #dnd adventures we took on some giant #spiders. Our party consists of a #paladin, #sorceress and a #rogue. Nothing particularly funny happened, but we did manage to kill 6 of those giant spiders! We're in a cave currently, on a land bridge heading deeper into the cave itself.

Good afternoon #SDF and the wider #fediverse! Today, after I get some stuff from Amazon, I would like to go find vintage computing stuff where I live and purchase it. Too often older hardware is deemed useless and thrown into a landfill or shipped off into other countries when it is still perfectly usable. It's easy to find newer used stuff like iPads and whatnot here, and I would have no problem getting those or old iMacs or PCs, but the stuff I'm really after is like 486's and Pentiums!

Good evening #SDF and the wider #fediverse! Played some #Tekken today with friends and kicked butt with Kazuya, although shortly later I got my butt kicked by a Asuka player! Man I love #fighting games, always great fun to have tournaments with your buds. Anyways, today I saw an instance of #peertube setup and I thought that was awesome, eventually I'd like to setup my own instance of it. Lets keep fighting the good fight and not hand over our digital lives to #google and #facebook!

Good afternoon #SDF, the #fediverse too! So I need to eventually make a one-shot for #dnd, and I heard there were several free one-shots available for free on the net? I dunno if I'd be any good at DMing, but I want to try it at least once! Hope everyone is doing well, and be sure to take care of yourself emotionally, physically and if you're religious, spiritually. I feel like I want to transform my SDF website, but I don't know what direction to take it in... anyways, later folks!

Good evening #SDF and the wider #Fediverse! I'm still working on getting myself free from the clutches of #google and #comcast, but I feel like I'm 50% of the way there. I still use #twitter and #facebook, but feel bad about it. I can't give up facebook over night like I can twitter however, as it's the only way to really get in contact with family for now. How do you peeps deal with having to use a service you want no part of? Also, #MetaARPA is scheduled for next month at this rate :D

Good evening #SDF and the wider #fediverse! Listening to classic #punk rock! So I tried the #Freedombox, but I ran into a snag. I already use a port for my #NextCloud that the Freedombox wants to use as well. The only option really is to take down my Nextcloud if I want to use the Freedombox. That's not really an option, so I'm considering what to do... if only Nextcloud and Freedombox could team up or something, that would be sweet. Then maybe both services could be integrated into one!

Good evening #sdf and the wider #fediverse! What do y’all think of living in “constrained” environments with limited RAM, processor speed and hard drive space? I frequently use my raspberry pi(s) and I’ve gotten used to it. It’s weird, I still desire to have a maxed out rig but I’m strangely at peace with something “most” people would find infuriating.

Good afternoon #SDF and the wider #fediverse! Recently my #backup (2tb)external drive has started to get loud, so that means it's probably time to get a new one. Problem is, I have another drive, but it can't hold as much as the other one(1tb). I think I honestly have a problem with "digital hoarding", because I like use 1% of the stuff I backup. I think I could keep all the stuff I care about on a 100-200GB usb #flash drive instead... what do you peeps do regarding backups?

What do you hope for the future of #SDF and sites that provide #Unix environments? And, lastly, on a different note, do you think #Windows 10 will possibly be the last Windows MS releases because of the rumored 'S' feature being turned on permanently? Note: For those not in the know, the 'S' feature is for WIndows to only use store apps
