@lnxw48 @bobjonkman totally Google+. I was naively waiting for an API, Open Social support, etc. Instead, G+ is a proprietary walled garden.
-
@bobjonkman: Lame. Though, Google of all companies used to be committed to open standards. I used to expect better. =\
-
YouTube RSS seems to work for now, but Google has been steadily dropping open standards: Jabber, almost CalDAV (backtracked), now RSS...
-
Via @bobjonkman, YouTube removes RSS feeds? All the YouTube channels I'm subscribed to are via RSS in gPodder. http://ur1.ca/hb2n7 Ugh.
-
Gee, thanks. "Do Not Track is no longer enabled on Yahoo. Your experience is now personalized." Good thing I'm rarely on Yahoo anyways...

From 1999 via Techdirt, "Web Phones: The Next Big Thing?" http://ur1.ca/h3t6g "There's a whole thing about the screen size..."

Today, I received a message in my calendar that I left for myself in July 2004. How cool is that? Palm > Google > N900 > Funambol > SOGo.

@windigo @lnxw37 see this conversation on pump.io about the bounds of memory leakage, in particular joeyh's answer: http://ur1.ca/h2m8y
-
@lnxw37 @windigo: right. Looks like it doesn't, according to: http://ur1.ca/h2lat
-
@windigo I haven't seen anything to suggest the OpenSSH has been affected by #Heartbleed. Have you? It doesn't interact with OpenSSL...

@laurelrusswurm experts don't remember what novices don't know
-
@nds: yeah, I don't think the AGPL helps much with assurances against bad actors in that kind of scenario (esp. for a single dev project).
-
@laurelrusswurm @nds It's still free software. I'm a fan of the AGPL, though isn't the only licence and doesn't make non-AGPL less valuable.
-
@laurelrusswurm that's the test I've seen everyone using. From a ton of different sources. Italian security guy. Made sense when I used it.
-
@bobjonkman hmm, or smarter screen readers. Should be easy to navigate a properly idented email (next comment, skip section, etc.).

Says @JPBarlow at #pycon, "the three major world religions rightly regarded the internet as the ultimate heresy." Um... citation needed.
