Soon, I'll be in possession of a MacBook 4,1. Saved it from being recycled. I wish I could throw (core || libre)boot on it but at the very least, I'll be able to breathe a little life into it with !trisquel or #Debian.
I'm trying to decide if it's an upgrade over my EeePC X101CH or not. I've got 1GB of RAM with a quad core (?) Atom processor clocked at 1.6GHz. The MacBook is 2ish GHz, dual core, with 4GB of RAM.
I'm going to have to shuffle my machines around a bit. I might be able to trade the netbook for my son's Mac Mini and set it up as a file server.
Sometimes I wish I didn't have all this Apple stuff in my house. At least only one of the devices runs any Apples software (my wife's phone).
