I think I've finally bought into the idea that the cheapest and most fun way to play #mtg is to buy singles. This is hard to learn for new players. At this point, I plan to only buy sealed product during a pre-release or other form of limited play (draft, sealed, etc). Unfortunately those limited events will usually be with friends rather than at my LGS. As convenient as it is to buy singles online, I'm going to make a conscious effort to sift the bins at my LGS first to help keep them going. I miss the LGS of my childhood.
